Continuation of the article "The Search of Self: Understanding Identity. Part I: The evolution of self.
What is "identification"? It is me. It is my own matters, a part of me, my everyday life, my life in general. If it is not a part of me, then it is not me, it means I have not felt it, thought about it, or made it a habit of my own.
If I do not know who I am, I will not be able to present myself to people. If I do not know who I am, I will not be able to understand the lessons that life presents, I will not be able to gain experience, I will not be able to know myself.
Identification is the way to get to the answer of the question "Who am I?" and a powerful helper in finding meaning. Without identification, I am nothing until I extract meaning from life; I extract learning from experience; I extract humanity from the human; I extract "Self" from "who I am" and "I am". This is how we grow. This is how we change, this is how we learn many new things. We consciously put our personal will and effort into this process. We do not decide that this is the way it is going to be and it just happens. Sometimes this process is difficult for us and we can get to a point where we can barely hold on.
By overcoming this moment, reflecting and analysing what has happened, we become more self-aware and gain new knowledge. If I have nothing to learn from and about myself, then identifications are made and accepted. Then it is achieved and built up, then something similar to a supernova happens from which we take the essence of the foundation. Then we manifest ourselves and show the new that we have accepted and created.
Very few people achieve identification completely. This is a reference and to some extent a condition. To say that we have fully gone through the many identification processes, we must be absolutely self-sufficient, autonomous and authentic. Then we will not need to seek explanation, understanding and definition. Identification help us to create, to develop, to understand everything around us. They are at the heart of creating the new and learning about what already exists.
